The Metropolitan Regional Information Systems (MRIS) has released it’s Third Quarter Economic and Market Watch Report. County residents looking to keep an eye on the real estate market should check back often for monthly updates as well.

Carroll County Market Statistics
- Employment increased by 481 Jobs in Carroll County in July/Aug.
- Number of job seekers also increased as well.
- Combined effect = Unemployment rate up from 3% to 3.5%
Average Sales Prices Up
Average Sales Price of Carroll County home is up from $371,800 in the 2nd Quarter to a 3rd Quarter number of $362,600.
Number of Homes Sold Down
3rd quarter numbers show a decline in the number of homes sold in Carroll County. 2nd Quarter homes sold was 538 vs. 3rd Quarter of 333.
Other Carroll County Market Trends
New Homes Built is down significantly from 133 in the 2nd quarter to only 55 for the third.
Average days on market for Carroll County remained relevantly the same at 79 days.
