REALTORS® will be gathering in Annapolis on November 1, 2007 from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm to spread the word – No New Taxes on Real Estate Services – not on property management services and not on services provided to property buyers and sellers. For additional information go to www.MDRealtor.org.
If real estate is your profession – you cannot afford to stay home. Every REALTOR® is needed to spread the word that new taxes on real estate services is bad for businesses that lease their space, bad for renters, bad for condominium owners, bad for those who live in homeowners associations, bad for property buyers and bad for property sellers.
November 1st ANNAPOLIS REALTOR RALLY - Schedule of Events
10:00 am – bus leaves GBBR’s parking lot at 1306 Bellona Avenue – light refreshments provided for the way down and boxed lunches on the ride home.
The bus and food are free BUT you must confirm your seat prior to October 31st Susan@GBBR.org or 410-337-7200
If you would rather drive to Annapolis, please park at the Navy Stadium and ride the free shuttle into Annapolis. The shuttle will drop you off in front of Lawyers Mall.
11:30 am — Meet at Lawyers Mall, check in, pick up pamphlets
11:45 am – Pep talk and direction for day’s effort
12:00 pm – Visit offices of our elected officials and personally talk about the issues, drop off important information and leave your business card
1:00 pm – Hearing starts. Buses leave the mall and return to GBBR by 2:00 pm
* Those who are not traveling by bus may choose to stay for the hearing. However, the hearing will cover many different subjects and it is possible that real estate services tax proposals will not begin until 4-6 pm.
